Visit in Kansas City, Missouri

Posted by casinoman | Uncategorized

Kansas City, Missouri is a great place for anyone to visit.  It’s located just across the river from its sister city, Kansas City, Kansas and it’s also about 250 miles away from St. Louis, Missouri, and of course Kansas City hotels.

The Kansas City Zoo:

The Kansas City Zoo is known all over the USA.  Part of the reason for that is the sheer scope of the zoo.  It’s so enormous that most visitors take trams to get around the zoo to the various exhibits.  It’s one of the most complete zoos in the country, allowing guests to see a huge variety of animals that they might never get to see, otherwise.  Almost three quarters of a million guests visit the zoo every year because it truly is a sight that nobody wants to miss.

18th And Vine District:

The 18th and Vine District goes by another name among the musical circles.  It’s called “The Birthplace of Jazz”.  There’s a very good reason for that.  Some of the world’s best Jazz musicians played in the area.  They included Count Basie, and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as Charlie “Yardbird” Park and Joe Turner.

When you visit the district, be sure to see the many sights.  One of them is the Horace M. Peterson III Visitors Center.  Another one that you can’t miss, especially if you like Jazz, is the American Jazz Museum.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art:

Some of the most famous art in the world resides within the city at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.  Rodin, Renoi, Monet and Homer all have works in the museum.  There are even exhibits devoted to historical times and events, such as the Egyptian tomb exhibit.
