The City of Las Vegas is home to 19 of the largest  world famous hotels, and they are all located on the Boulevard of Dreams, otherwise known as the strip. Some of these famous hotels include; The Bellagio, The Luxor, The Venetian, Ceasars Palace, New York, New York and Treasure Island. Still famous but lesser names like The Westin and several Hilton Hotels are also located here.

The strip never shuts down or closes and caters to a very high end hotel, those who stay up all night and have great wads of disposable income. It is very hard to find a bargain or discount anywhere along the strip. Not impossible, just difficult. If you are traveling on a budget than book your vacation to take place in the off season, in December and January.

Some good places to search for discounts include hotels with names like Excalibur, Stratosphere Tower, MGM Grand, Circus Circus and Tropicana. Mandalay Resort is another discount possibility. All of these hotels and resorts routinely offer travel vacation packages for singles and family if you are traveling with the kids.

If you really want to save a buck then consider booking your vacation off the strip and into the surrounding city area at establishments with names like the Riviera, Orleans, Cancun Resort, Hawthorne Suites and Hampton Inn. You may not be sleeping next door to the high rollers, however you can still rub elbows with them after a short walk to the big casinos nearby.
