What to Expect From Las Vegas Hotels

Gambling is the name of the game in Las Vegas and every hotel on the strip has at least one casino on premises. In fact, all of the hotels in the surrounding vicinity also have at least a small gambling area set aside for patrons. The terrain is dominated by very large casinos with epicurean accommodations, including first class restaurants, full service spas and salons, giant pools, theaters and shopping experiences to fit every budget.

The MGM Grand is said to be the largest hotel on the strip, while the Venetian is thought to be the most elegant. This hotel features the world’s largest suites, centered around a huge casino, designer shops and a fitness center. There is even a canal where you can drive a gondola, if you choose.  The Wynn Hotel is considered the most expensive, featuring a designer shopping mall, a number of renown restaurants home to famous chefs, an in house Ferrari dealership, a theater, a golf course, pool side gambling area and a spa.

The Bellagio offers guests a full service spa, casino, a state of the art fitness center, modern athletics book and a professional poker room. The hotel’s treasure island features games such as Paj Gow, Fire Hook, Pai Gow Tiles, 3 card poker and Big Six.  The Mandalay Resort is divided into the main hotel, the Four Seasons and an all suites arena.  The gambling casino here is comfortable yet fashionable. The resort has a Coral Reef Lounge that is the biggest in the United States. Planet Hollywood, which used to be the Aladdin, is upscale and expensive, with the  typical features of casino, shopping and shows.

The Paris Hotel is french themed as its name suggests. While the Excalibur Hotel is a great place to relax. It is not as expensive as the other big named hotels and sports a friendly charm and mystique. It even has an area for the kids. The Luxor hotel is modeled after the pyramids of Egypt and carries that theme throughout.  There is a vast gambling casino under the dome including special areas for three card and four card Monte.

The Mirage is famous for its volcano which erupts from time to time. The lobby is built to resemble a walk through a rainforest complete with trees, exotic plants, birds, lagoon and a large aquarium.  New York New York reminds you of the real big apple complete with its own Brooklyn Bridge and Chrysler Building.  The Flamingo Hotel offers tourists  a trip through a bird sanctuary, a spa, a pool, a very large garden and a huge casino.

Other famous and popular hotels include the Barbary Coast, Bally’s The Riviera, Harrah’s and the Sahara. If you decide to take your gambling off the strip then step into Binions, The Gold Coast, Four Queens or the Hard Rock Hotel,  each offering its own unique Las Vegas experience.
